No Greater Joy

Last Sunday, our son Caleb was baptized. What a joyous day it was for him and for us!

I was reminded of many verses that speak of the faithfulness of God and his promise to us as parents we raise them up in the Lord.

I love Acts 2:39
"For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself."
Thank you Lord for calling Caleb to be your own and for allowing to confess you as Lord of his life at a young age.

We had the privilege of leading him to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior last year. You can read the story here. At the time we didn't want to rush him into baptism. We wanted him to decide when he was ready to make that public confession.

Thanks to our friend Joey Hurtado for taking these pictures!

What a wonderful memory! And what a beautiful place to be baptized. I'm rather envious. I got baptized in a river, right along a cow pasture. Who knows what i had to walk through to get there?!

Thank you Heidi. Yes, our church has a beautiful garden for prayer and baptism. The weather was beautiful too. :)
